Pianists trio

This was a set of themed pieces I made to display and sell at the Sutter Creek Ragtime Festival, where I was also performing piano music. Each of the 3 pianists is a variation on the same design; for each one, I started with the same sketch, and then freehanded the bamboo, clothing, and other details.

Sutter ​Creek, California is a rustic 19th-century town that, once upon a time, was at the heart of the gold rush. Many old buildings remain on the town's main street, and every year it plays host to the Ragtime Festival where visitors can hear old-time American music genres performed live.
